Description
The Rales Fellowship empowers first-generation and under resourced domestic students by reducing barriers to graduate education will increase the number of voices within STEM research, education and innovation, and help the U.S. meet the growing need for a new generation of leaders.
The CMU Rales Fellows Program provides students with full tuition, a stipend to cover living expenses such as housing and health insurance, and a holistic ecosystem of developmental and networking opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements
U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Resident or DACA Recipient
Applying to eligible, graduate STEM degree program on CMU’s Pittsburgh campus
Received a Federal Pell Grant or need-based financial aid as an undergraduate student, or is a first-generation college student.
