Fun facts on the Class

Members of the Class of 2027 have completed two Ironman Triathlons, speak five languages, is a member of the Italian National Lacrosse Team, has served as a U.S. Congressional intern, has served as an election worker in Mexico, is a 10-year member of 4-H showing goats and rabbits, owns a sports video production company in addition to a clothing screen-printing business, founded a charity to provide food service for homeless and food-insecure children, is a Riley Children’s Hospital Champion and Ambassador, raised $104,000 for leukemia research, and is an actor at Necropolis Haunted Underground. Three are Black Belts, three are cheerleaders, two are welders, and one is a top-ranked Rocket League player.

Dean for Enrollment Management Chip Timmons '96 especially enjoyed reading a new student's admissions essay entitled “The Resplendent Art of the Ideal Cashier.” In it, the student described the perils of bagging a newly roasted chicken with ice cream and flawlessly employed the words “habitué” and “Brobdingnagian.”
